Description
A 1969, University of Georgia release, Delite has a moderately vigorous, upright growth habit. It is a mid-late season producer of medium-large size berries that are firm, light blue in color (some berries even have a light red, blush hue when ripe), have very good flavor, and a dry stem scar. Delite also gets high marks for its ornamental quality, showing off notably attractive foliage in the Fall.

Growing Preferences
Blueberry plants grow best in an acidic (pH of 4.8 to 5.2), organically rich, moist, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. The more sun the better for best berry production. The shallow, fibrous roots of blueberry plants like a consistently moist but well-drained soil which can be provided by with a layer of organic mulch. Although blueberries are self-fertile, cross-pollination produces the best fruit crop (larger berries and larger yields). Therefore it is best to plant more than one variety that will bloom at the same time. Blueberry season can be extended by planting early, mid-season and late varieties. Make sure to plant two different cultivars/varieties for each season. USDA Zones: 7b-10b Find Your Zone >

The blueberry plant that I ordered was shipped very quickly and was well packaged. The blueberry plant was exactly as described and appeared very healthy. Since it is Fall, I won’t get to really enjoy this plant until next Spring, but based on my experience so far, I highly recommend Wilson Brothers Gardens. Note: At a previous home I planted Delite as a pollinator and it turned out to be my favorite blueberry producing grape sized berries.———————————Hi Wesley, Thanks so much for taking the time to provide your review of the Delite Rabbiteye Blueberry.
